How to do a search

Please fill in your key search word. For example, if you are looking for Mr. Rainer Berthan in Shanghai, just fill in Berthan in the field titled 'Contact Person' and Shanghai in the field of 'City' and the result will display all Mr/Ms Berthans in Shanghai.

If you are searching for companies with specific details (e.g. annual turnover, labour force), you can click on the 'More Info' tab. For information about parent companies, refer to the 'Parent Company' tab. Unfortunately at this point it is not yet possible to combine those three tabs in one search. This has to be done in two steps. If you are e.g. looking for Bavarian companies in Shanghai, first enter Shanghai in the 'City'-field. When the results are shown, click on the 'Search within Results' button at the bottom of the page. Then go to the 'Parent Company' tab and select Bavaria in the field 'Foreign State/Province".

Detailed Search

You can also click the red "plus" button (behind the fields) to search for people or companies with more than one search criteria. For example, you can type Electrical connection in the field 'Business Activities', then click the plus button and type Tools as other search keyword. You will then get a list of companies whose Business Activities include "Electrical connection" or "Tools".

Please also notice that the search function is multi-lingual. E.g., you can search Weidmüller as part of the company name and 王 as contact person at the same time in order to find Ms. 王 at Weidmüller Interface International Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Case difference is ignored, so the search for weidmüller would get the same result.

Using asterisk for the unknown parts

In case you only recall part of the name, street or company name, please use '*' to represent the part you are not sure of. For example, Weid* as company name will give you a list of companies which name Starts with Weild.

By default the system automatically add asterisks before and after your search keyword. If you search for "Real" as company name, the search result would include "Real Softservice" as well as "Ethereal equipment co." Disabling the following option stops the system adds asterisks for you. This is useful for you do precious search. E.g. search for Real* without getting "Ethereal equipment co.". Note that you need to add the asterisk yourself if needed.
